The StreetBeat brand began as a vision of Robbe Hardnette in 1994 in Portland Oregon. The vision was to provide the basic fundamental for youth and emerging artist to engage in the Indie music industries. The decision to move corporate offices to Vancouver BC was made in the fall of 2011. The collective experiences of the board/staff in the entertainment industry, gives the youth a wealth of information to learn from.
The mission of The StreetBeat Entertainment Society is to encourage diversity, self esteem and an awareness of social issue through arts and entertainment. Entertainment is a powerful tool when used positively. There's been numerous amount of studies shown how entertainment has been used to influenced pop and urban cultures.
The StreetBeat Entertainment Society will continually strive to give the highest quality of mentoring through the art of entertainment, and with your help, we can make our vision come to fruition.
Robbe is better known as the renaissance man around his friends, due to his diverse talents of cooking, sewing, dancing, arranging music, house remodeling and working on cars. But his biggest passion is his love for mentoring youth and Indie Artist about the business of entertainment.
His 20 year experience as business owner and concert promoter literally has been shared with hundreds of youth. Many of his mentee has gone on to have successful careers such as James Kenny (X-Factor 2011 runner up) and Joseph Harris who is currently a stockholder for the StreetBeat Entertainment brand.
His list of accomplishments includes "Thoughtful Citizen Award" (96-2005) "Recognition Of Commitment to School-To-Work" (97-2007), Portland Impact "Mentor Of The Year"(2004-2006), Portland Chamber Of Commerce "Award for Business Leadership in Philanthropic Activities" (95) and many more.

Coming from the Philippines at the age of 17 gives Jaymie the experience of diversity and being able to have compassion for youth who are trying to find their way and their own identity. Her background in Accounting, for various Banks and Institutions gives the StreetBeat an internal person who can manage the rigid day to day activities of running a non-profit.
A native of Seattle, Washington, Blu made Vancouver his home during the turbulent years of the Vietnam war. This unique actor with an easy grace of film despite his commanding six foot, 230 lb. girth, Mankuma quickly established a following among producers and directors, building an impressive resume of film, television and theatre credits, becoming one of Canada's busiest actors.
Blu Mankuma is also an avid musician, singer, songwriter and stage actor, who has also provided voiceovers for radio and appeared in numerous television commercials.
Laverne, known as "Love" to all who know her, brings balance and thought full spiritual guidance to the team. She's been active in the Houston, Texas Community for over 30 years, guiding youth in ways that has transformed their lives to being better citizens of the world.
